Smackdown 2011 elementary wrestling tournament, held Jan. 29 in Williams Lake with 215 participants, reaffirmed its distinction as being the largest elementary school wrestling tournament in British Columbia.

Local Winter Games athletes off to compete

100 Mile House Kokoro Judo Club athlete Ali Briggs will be in Halifax next week competing at the 2011 Canada Winter Games as members of Judo Team BC. Another club member, Stephanie Salzbrenner, is an alternate for the games, and could be called up to compete if necessary.
