The Solid Rock Café offers music, ambiance and food

Make sure you keep the third Friday of each month open to come and enjoy The Solid Rock Café at 4940 Telqua Dr., on the Cariboo Christian Fellowship Life's grounds.

Enjoy live country, blue grass and gospel music, a fantastic atmosphere, the best homemade desserts and unbelievably low coffee prices. This is a great opportunity to meet new people and visit with old friends and neighbours.

Doors open at 6:30 a.m. and music starts at 7. The next dates are April 15, May 20 and June 17, with the summer schedule yet to be determined.

Bird sightings

Spring has sprung, the grass has riz, I wonder where the birdies is?

Well, they're all over the 108 apparently and lots of interesting sightings are being reported.

Tim Matlock reports that for the past 20 years, the Canada geese have returned within one or two days of March 11, and have done so again this year.

Reports of robins coming in, varied thrushes and the juncoes are back.  Swans are at 105, and a killdeer was heard on Tatton Road.
