Auxiliary secures new medical equipment

The 100 Mile District General Hospital Auxiliary has purchased some new medical equipment for the benefit of hospital patients.

This dedicated group of volunteers raised more than $7,600 through their annual Christmas raffle, craft and bake sale, as well as community donations they have successfully secured for their cause.

Auxiliary president Mina Elsworth says the money was used towards a bariatric wheelchair (designed to support heavier weights), a digital scale and a vital signs monitor with a stand.

"We'd like to thank the 100 Mile House Legion No. 260 and the various other donors."
