Canada Strong Pass grants free access to country-wide attractions

Consider the Canada Strong Pass this summer to get free access to selected national sites for families looking to travel this year.

Families can enjoy cheaper access to national sites this summer following a new pass offered by the federal government.

From June 20 to Sept. 2, the Canada Strong Pass will grant residents and foreign visitors free access to national parks, conservation areas and historic sites administered by Parks Canada, according to press release from the Department of Canadian Heritage

National Museums and access to VIA Rail will be free for those under 17 years old.

The pass will grant those aged 18 to 24, a 25-per-cent discount on VIA Rail travel and a 50-per-cent discount entry on national museums.

The Canada Strong Pass aims to unite families with immersive, diverse and historic national attractions that breathes life into what Canadian spirit feels and looks like.

"No registration or physical pass is necessary; just show up and enjoy the benefits offered at participating establishments. The Pass is open to all visitors, whether you are Canadian or coming from abroad. It’s an invitation to experience Canada’s cultural and natural richness," the Department of Canadian Heritage says.

As families chose their plans their summer, the federal government is encouraging those considering Canada, to look further into the Canadian Strong Pass to make things more accessible and more cost effective during the warmer months.
