To the editor:
This past weekend while visiting friends, I had the fortunate/unfortunate opportunity to be involved with our local 100 Mile paramedics and fire rescue team.
These people are to be highly praised for their professionalism and courtesy.
Upon their arrival at the incident, and while completing and concentrating on their duties, these people were able to keep all concerned, calm and engaged. The assistance and concern we were shown helped all affected.
I truly appreciate the help and reassurance that was extended to all of us.
While this group was attending to the person concerned, another member of this team was keeping the patient's wife calm with conversation, etc. The entire group showed nothing but care and respect for everyone involved.
We owe these dedicated people immensely for the service they provide to our community.
I wish to thank them all for the aid and assistance they gave in this situation and to let them know what a benefit they are to the Cariboo community.
