I, as a resident of Marchmont, would like to respond to the letter from Delia Broswick.
Yes, the city did a great job fixing the street. However, as to the speed humps, they are a godsend.
We have lived on this street for 20 years. My kids were never allowed to play near this road, too dangerous. I have seen motorcyclists do wheelies down our little drag strip! The 30 km/h signs have done nothing and they have been there for around 15 years.
Speed humps [are] necessary, in my opinion and almost anyone living between Day Road and Trunk not soon enough and should be up the whole road.
