Letter: Jackson right on about Duncan streets

Downtown streets are narrow enough already
letters

I agree with Sharon Jackson's opinion in last week's issue. The attempt at changing the traffic patterns may have had good intentions, but the results seem to be making it much more difficult and dangerous to drive through town, let alone find a parking space.

The confusion on Canada Avenue is equally difficult to navigate now, especially with the widening of sidewalks and the higgeldy piggeldy bike lane. The existing one on the railroad right of way could have been extended all the way from Sherman through to Trunk Road, providing a far safer and easier route for cyclists and get them off the street. Downtown streets are narrow enough already.
