What a busy, involved and supportive community we live in.
The Second Annual Winter Carnival held at 100 Mile Junior Secondary was thoroughly enjoyed by 750 people, and at least half of them were children.
The free family event was a great success and topped last year's attendance by 250 people.
There was so much energy in the gym, as the children enjoyed the bouncy castle and bouncy pirate ship and many other events. Having a real fire truck there was a big hit with the older youths.
This free family event was brought to you by Cariboo Family Enrichment Centre, Child Care Resource & Referral, Success by 6, and Make Children First. Key organizer Erica Henderson and the other the staff and volunteers deserve a huge thank you.
With that type of involvement, it's no wonder I am so proud to live in this area.
