Log Cabin Quilters (LCQ)
On Saturday/Sunday, March 1/2, LCQ is hosting a Toni Whitney intricate appliqué class with instructor Judy Belyea, at Interlakes Community Centre. This is only for experienced quilters. Kits are available. Participants are responsible for providing their own materials and pattern, or the kit. The cost for the class is $120 plus the above costs. LCQ is also asking for names of people (adults or children) in 100 Mile and surrounding areas who are having cancer treatments so that LCQ can donate one of their specially-made quilts to the patient/s. Mountain Spruce Community Centre (MSCC)
Mountain Spruce Community Centre’s annual Full Moon Walk in their Park at 6335 Mahood Lake Road, is from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., Friday, March 14. With suitable footwear, you will meet at the picnic shelter where there will be music, hot chocolate, marshmallows and a bonfire. Trails will be well marked.
Travel through the Light Walk across the bridge to the viewpoint and beyond. Bring a headlamp/flashlight, chair, and mug! Dress warmly and enjoy the wonders of the beautiful park under the glow of the full moon. All ages are welcome, but children must be accompanied by an adult. No fee but donations are always appreciated.
