The South Green Lake Festival of Lights fireworks display will be held at the Snowmobile Club Clubhouse on Dec. 31, starting at 9 p.m.
The fireworks displays are always spectacular.
Committee spokesperson Rita Dixon said the event is made possible by the community's donations and by the volunteers.
“Everyone is welcome to come out and enjoy this wonderful display.
It's a good way to start off the New Year!”
Donations are needed to keep the fireworks displays going.
Donations can be made at Eddy's Bar and Grill in 70 Mile House, or to Committee members, Dixon said.
“Committee members will be carrying a red donation container will be available on the Clubhouse deck during the fireworks display.”
The committee members are Dixon, Lori Spencer, Pat Graham, Maureen Bell, Warren Johnson, Carol Taylor and Aaron Burwell.

SMAC closed for the holidays
The Seventy Mile Access Centre (SMAC) will be closed for the holidays so volunteers can have a rest and time to spend time with their loved ones.
Green Lake Firesmart neighborhoods recognized
Thanks to the hard work of Local FireSmart Representative Bob Bell and the local FireSmart Neighbourhood Champions all three FireSmart Neighbourhoods have been recognized by FireSmart Canada and FireSmart B.C.
This is definitely a feather in the cap for the local FireSmart Crew.
