Date fixed for preliminary inquiry

Facing allegations of aggravated assault, causing bodily harm and firearms charges

A 46-year old man, who is charged in connection with an alleged shooting incident in the South Cariboo, appeared in Williams Lake provincial court on Jan. 13 to fix a date for a preliminary inquiry.

Nicholas Finley will be back in Williams Lake provincial court on June 5 for his preliminary inquiry.

He's charged with aggravated assault, causing bodily harm with intent, use of a firearm in the commission of an offence and pointing a firearm.

100 Mile House RCMP responded to the Horse Lake Road area on March 6, 2016 after receiving a report that a 42-year old man had been shot in the arm.

Finley was arrested in Mission 10 days later.

Not a lot of details were released in relation to this alleged incident, although the RCMP indicated the two people involved knew each other.
