Commuters heading south on the Pat Bay Highway (Highway 17) experienced significant delays this morning following a three-vehicle collision near Island View Road.
The incident, which occurred around 8 a.m., quickly caused traffic to back up as far as Mount Newton X Road.
Fortunately, despite the extensive traffic disruption, there appear to be no injuries reported.
All drivers were observed standing outside their vehicles at the scene.
Central Saanich RCMP and a fire crew arrived shortly to manage the incident.
Traffic on Pat Bay Highway returned to normal after an hour.
