The CRD-run Coles Bay Regional Park is a popular site for swimming and wading.

Some areas of a popular North Saanich seaside shoreline will be closed for geotechnical work June 12.

The Capital Regional District warns some parts will be inaccessible as crews survey the foreshore at Coles Bay Regional Park between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.

The park on Inverness Road will remain open, but visitors may see contractors surveying and using equipment near the beach.

As the weather warms, the CRD park gets busier as a popular spot for swimming because of its relatively warm water. The beach is a 10-minute walk along either the Beach Trail or the Nature Trail from the main parking lot. It also features accessible picnic tables in the grassy area near the parking lot or by the beach.
