Road closures and traffic control will be in place to assist the Qualicum Beach Triathlon and Summer Solstice Night Market events, as well as ensure public safety and smooth operation.
A section of Jones Street (see map above) will be closed from 8:30 a.m. to 12:50 p.m. for the triathlon on June 22, according to a news release by the Town of Qualicum Beach.
The event will occur in and around the Civic Centre parking lot (747 Jones St). The majority of the route will be accessible to traffic, with traffic control in place.
The Civic Centre will remain accessible to traffic via Fourth Avenue West.
On June 26, Veterans Way will be closed (see map above) from approximately 1 p.m. to 11 p.m.for the Summer Solstice Night Market.
Emergency access will be available at all times, but regular traffic will be detoured.
"We appreciate your patience as we assist in hosting these community events," the town said in the release.
