Jim Milliken of 100 Mile House served in the Royal Canadian Navy during the Second World War.

He joined the Navy in May 1939 and served from the day the war started until it ended in 1945 when Germany surrendered.

Milliken finished his service tour in 1946.

During his time in the North Atlantic, he worked on sonar detection to seek out and destroy German submarines.

Grant Raymond is a North Green Lake resident.
