Situated between Clinton and 100 Mile House, 70 Mile House, born in the days of the gold rush, is a community of 300 people.

The area was once known for logging, but is now primarily a tourist area.

Green Lake, 10 km east, is a popular fishing spot in summer. There are several provincial parks on both the north and south sides of the lake, with camping and picnic sites.
