Abbotsford Canucks release 2025-26 schedule

The Abbotsford Canucks 2025-26 schedule has been released.

In a few months it will be banner raising time for the Calder Cup champion Abbotsford Canucks.

The AHL club confirmed that the home opener vs. the Ontario Reign on Friday, Oct. 24 will see the franchise's first-ever championship banner be raised to the rafters inside the Abbotsford Centre. 

The Canucks and the AHL released the entire 2025-26 regular season schedule on Thursday (July 10) and it looks basically the same as last season and seasons of the past.

Abbotsford plays 64 of the 72 games against Pacific Division foes and once again play only the Laval Rocket and Manitoba Moose outside of the division.

The Canucks open the season in Nevada against the Henderson Silver Knights on Friday, Oct. 10. Abbotsford has a pair of six-game homestand's from Oct. 24 to Nov. 2, as well as from March 6 to 15. The team's longest road trip is a six-game journey from Nov. 15 to 29. 

The never-ending story of games against the Calgary Wranglers continues in 2025-26, as the two rivals square off 12 times this season. Abbotsford also plays eight games against Henderson, the San Diego Gulls, the San Jose Barracuda, the Coachella Valley Firebirds and the Ontario Reign. They play four games against the Bakersfield Condors, Colorado Eagles, Tucson Roadrunners, Moose and Rocket. 

This season marks the most home games on a Tuesday or Wednesday, with 12 scheduled. Saturday is the most frequent day with 11 games. Other regular home games include: Sunday (seven), Tuesday (six), Wednesday (six) Friday (five) and Monday (one).

The holiday Monday game has a Family Day (Feb. 16) special start time of 1 p.m. Five of the seven Sunday games feature a start time of 4 p.m., while the remaining two begin at 3 p.m. All the other games begin at 7 p.m., except for a 6 p.m. start on Dec. 19 and a 2 p.m. start on Dec. 20 – both of those games are against Tucson.

The Canucks also have four games scheduled during the NHL Olympic break, which runs from Feb. 6 to 22. Abbotsford hosts San Jose on Feb. 6 and 7 and the the Reign on Feb. 14 and 16. The Rockford Ice Hogs also host the 2026 AHL All-Star Classic on Feb. 10 and 11 during the NHL's Olympic break. 

This season marks the 90th year of operation for the AHL and will feature 32 teams playing 72 games apiece. The season begins on Oct. 10 and concludes on April 19.
