70 Mile Community Club 50/50 draw a huge success
70 Mile Community Club secretary Joy Gammie said the club is grateful to Save-On Foods, Canada Post Office, 70 Mile General Store and Eddy's Bar and Grill for helping the club with the sale of its 50/50 tickets.
The fundraiser was a huge success, raising $8,420.50.
The lucky winner of the draw was Tiffany Boyce of Canim Lake, who received a $4,210.25 cheque.
Gammie said the club thanks all of the volunteers for their time selling tickets.
Community Hall events
Coffees On happens every Tuesday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Come down and chat with your friends or make new friends at the free event.
Coffee, soup luncheon and desserts made by volunteers are on the menu.
Texas Hold'em poker will be held at the Community Hall on Nov. 16.
Doors open at 10:30 a.m. and poker starts at 11 a.m.
Christmas Craft Fair
A Christmas Craft Fair, organized with the Seventy Mile Access Centre (SMAC), will be held at the 70 Mile Community Hall on Nov. 30 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
There will be a concession, a Santa photo opportunity, an auction and much more. There will be more than 18 vendors at the event.
Logo design contest
The 70 Mile Community Club is seeking entries to create a logo header for the club.
Gammie said the words '70 Mile Community Club Hall' must be in the logo header.
