The local SPCA is inviting people to drop off new or used tea cups and mugs to the Free Press office.
SPCA volunteers will be planting plants in the donated vessels and selling them at the South Cariboo Mega Show, April 29-May 1.
"We did this for the first time last year and had such an awesome response that we wanted to do it again," says SPCA spokesperson Cat Barnicoat.
"These make perfect mothers day gifts," she says, adding the cups will be sold for $5 apiece.
Fundraisers like this go towards the feeding and tending of the animals in the care of the SPCA.
Deadline to drop off your mugs or cups is April 22. For more information, leave a message at 250-395-5303 and a SPCA representative will call back.
