The 70 Mile House Volunteer Fire Department (70MHVFD) held its fourth poker tournament of the season on March 26.
The winners were: first, Katrina Sans; second, Ivan Carrier; third, Betty Westerager; fourth, Ray Olsen; fifth, Dennis Huber; and sixth Jimmy Kupo.
The last tournament of this season will be on June 4 at the 70 Mile Community Hall. Volunteers will then have a summer break and return in the fall.
SMAC meeting
Seventy Mile Access Centre (SMAC) will hold its annual general meeting April 23 at the centre, starting at 1 p.m.
The executive for the coming year will be elected. Everyone is invited to attend.

Bookmobile
The Thompson Nicola bookmobile will be here on April 21.
It will be at the South Green Lake fire hall from 10 to 11 a.m., and at the 70 Mile General Store from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Poker nights
The 70MHVFD weekly poker nights have moved from the Dusty Rose Pub to the community hall.
All players are welcome. Registration is $20 and you play until you are eliminated. The top 3 players receive cash prizes.
