PHOTOS: B.C.'s capital marks St. Patrick’s Day with celebrations

The annual event featured live music, performances, food vendors, and family-friendly activities

The Irish joie de vivre was alive in downtown Victoria as hundreds gathered for St. Patrick’s Day festivities on March 16, a day before the cultural holiday.

People roamed Government Street, closed to traffic between Broughton and Yates streets, enjoying live music, performances, artisan booths, food vendors, and family-friendly activities, including inflatable play structures for children.

The event ran from 10:30 a.m.
