Mount Klitsa Garden Club had a good variety of plants for both inside and outside at their sale on Saturday, May 10 the Alberni Athletic Hall.
Garden club members had a draw by donation for many prizes. Winners were: Flandangles three lanterns won by Janice Nelson, Leave her Wild flower basket won by Dean, Quality Foods chrysanthemum was won by Candice Croxen, hanging baskets from Colyn's Nursery were won by Judy Vatamaniuk, green planter from Naesgaard’s was won by Rudy-Ann, wooden planter donated by Frank Kruks won by Rosemary Wilson.
“We did as well as last year," said Shirley Reimer, club treasurer. "We are very pleased with the turnout. We give a $500 bursary to any grad that continues their education in the horticultural area. We also do an in memoriam to one of the care homes. We would like to thank everyone for their continued patronage and enabling us to make these donations.”
