Another wrestling event in Williams Lake left some breathless, including local fan favourite Hotspice.
In yet another dynamic locally-produced night of wrestling and boxing action at the Limelight Theatre, multiple matches were held to entertain the long weekend crowd.
Six different matches aimed to satisfy the crowd's craving for some live action sports and there was a sizable crowd, even with the Spring Classic Indoor Rodeo taking place as well.
Two new champions were crowned, with "The Dream" Matt Reym defeating Massive Damage to become the Cariboo County Heavyweight Champ and Luke "The Duke" James defeating Prankster Pete in the Cariboo County Fraser River Championship.
The night's events started off with a boxing match between Cain "The Mountain Warrior" Olsen and Duncan McLellan. McLellan beat out Olsen in a unanimous decision to retain the Rebel Fit Championship title.
Popular fan favourite Hotspice, the sole female wrestler in Williams Lake, defeated visiting Edmonton wrestler Precious Polly, to wild applause, with Hotspice leaving the ring out of breath after the acrobatic battle.
"Misfit" Alex Houston, a relative newcomer to the ring, then faced off against Stu Krewl, who defeated Houston with some assistance from outside the ring, resulting in some crowd reaction and a response from the imposing competitor Wrath.
Wrath came out to challenge Krewl to combat, after Houston literally crawled away in apparent pain after the ref missed some monkey business in the corner. Wrath insisted Krewl's compatriot who provided the unauthorized assistance be banned from being ringside and challenged Krewl to face him unassisted, which Krewl did.
Wrath soundly defeated Krewl, though the pair provided some high-flying action, and Krewl threw some impressive flying elbows in the exciting match.
The Krool Pro Combat team was heading to Quesnel for more matches over the weekend.
Organizers said they will be taking a break for the summer season, but the group promised to return to the ring with more action in the fall.
