In 27 games this season, the blueliner has recorded 1 goals and adding 9 assists for the New Yorks Sirens this season.

Two games, two wins, and now, one milestone goal for Micah Zandee-Hart.

The Saanichton native scored her first international goal for Team Canada on Friday at the 2025 IIHF Women’s World Championship, finding the back of the net at 12:26 of the first period. It stood as the game-winner in Canada’s 4–0 shutout victory over Switzerland.

Zandee-Hart’s tally opened the scoring and helped extend Canada’s dominant start to the tournament. The Canadians also blanked Finland 5–0 in their opening game on Thursday, where she registered an assist.

Up next: a marquee matchup against the United States, as the two rivals face off Sunday at 10 a.m. PT in a game that could decide top spot in Group A.

The tournament is held in Ceske Budejovice, Czechia, and runs through Sunday, April 20.

Zandee-Hart currently suits up for the New York Professional Women's Hockey League (PWHL) franchise, the Sirens, and brings a wealth of international experience. She won Olympic gold with Canada in 2022, took home silver at the 2023 Women’s Worlds, and earned bronze at the 2019 tournament.
