The Toronto Blue Jays and first baseman Vladimir Guerrero Jr. have agreed to a 14-year contract extension worth $500 million.

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. is set to spend his entire career with the Toronto Blue Jays.

According to multiple reports on Sunday night (April 6), the Blue Jays and the 26-year-old have agreed to a 14-year contract extension worth $500 million. It is the largest contract in Blue Jays history.

Guerrero originally signed with the Blue Jays as a 16-year-old international free agent on July 2, 2015. 

He made his MLB debut in 2019 and over the course of his career has hit 160 home runs and driven in 511 runs in 828 games. Additionally, he's been named to the MLB all-star team the last four seasons.

Gurerreo Jr. was born in Montreal, Quebec and is the son of MLB hall of famer Vladimir Guerrero.
