The rep soccer season is in full swing in the South Cariboo, with seven teams from the 100 Mile House & District Soccer Association involved in the Cariboo Youth Soccer League (CYSL).
The CYSL includes teams from Quesnel, Williams Lake and 100 Mile House, which play each other each Sunday, and alternate hosting of the games.
The teams had their first outdoor games of the season in Quesnel last weekend, with the U13 girls tying Williams Lake 2-2 tie. Paige Hall and Avery Rutledge got the goals for 100 Mile.
The U15 girls, heavy with 14-year-olds, kept their scores close in a couple of games with an older Quesnel team.
Game 1 ended 2-0 for Quesnel, but in game 2, 100 Mile narrowed the gap to a 2-1 loss. Team manager Jeannie Capnerhurst says her girls did very well.
"The team definitely has more work to do, but they held their own. They were pretty decent."
Next weekend, the teams play in the Slurpee Cup in Kamloops.
