The Abbotsford Canucks have captured the 2025 Calder Cup championship

It's the team's first league title in franchise history, the first time a Vancouver Canucks affiliate has won the AHL crown and the first time a pro hockey team based in British Columbia has won a championship since the Victoria Cougars won the Stanley Cup in 1925.

Abbotsford earned the title by defeating the Charlotte Checkers 3-2 inside the fabulous Bojangles Coliseum in game six of the best-of-seven series on Monday (June 23).

The Canucks fell behind 2-0 in the first period, but then battled back with goals from Sammy Blais, Danila Klimovich and Linus Karlsson to win the game.
