A look at Kelowna's Brier debut in 1968

The Montana's Brier was held at the Memorial Arena from Mar. 4-8, 1968

The Montana's Brier is in Kelowna for the second time ever, seeing teams compete at Prospera Place from Feb. 28 to Mar. 9. 

The event was first brought to the city in 1968 under Brier General Chairman Harold Long. Kelowna Capital News did extensive coverage of the games. 

Athletes were greeted in the city on Friday, Mar. 1 "complete with torches, cheer leaders, a pipe band and a large crowd of Kelowna enthusiasts who stayed up to 1:30 a.m.
