Senior citizens who would enjoy making new friends over a game of golf might want to check out the 108 Seniors Golf Club.
It's an informal group that meets each Friday morning at 10 a.m. at the 108 Golf Resort for a round of golf, friendship, fun and prizes.
The club has been active for more than five years, says member Angie Wahnschaff.
On top of green fees, she adds players chip in a few dollars for prizes. Results are based on nine holes and people can play 18 if they wish, but only the first nine counts for the booty.
Last year, the club had between eight and 20 people turn out weekly, and while it's geared for seniors, there is no set age minimum.
Their first session is slated for May 13 and anyone needing more information can call Wahnschaff at 250-791-6553.
