The Bowen Family of 108 Mile is the community's newest safe crackers after submitting the closest guess to a combination safe code used in a recent 100 Mile District Minor Hockey Association raffle.
Cara and Matt Bowen along with children, Luke, Maddy, Ty and Gracie won the challenge, which involved guessing the four digit combination for a safe that would open the door to a prize of $1,000.
The actual code was 5574, which was picked at random from nine numbered golf balls that were drawn prior the start of the raffle.
The Bowens entered numerous guesses, but their entry of 5565 was closer than anyone's to the winning combination. The winning guess had to be lower than the correct number to win.
