The 100 Mile House Wranglers accomplished their goal of winning the first two home games in the semifinals of the Doug Birks Division playoffs.

According to a pre-playoff story in the Revelstoke Times Review, the Revelstoke organization thought the Grizzlies would come into the 100 Mile House barn and maul the Wranglers.

The Grizzlies tried to take the Wranglers lunch away, but ended up getting a knuckle sandwich for their troubles.

Game 2 on Feb. 25 was a run-away for the home-town boys as they laid a 9-4 licking on the Grizzlies, with a seven-goal out burst in the second period.

The 100 Mile House squad got its power play going and scored on five of 11 opportunities.

It was a nail-biter in game 1 on Feb. 24, but the Wranglers pulled out a 4-3 victory in double overtime.

Zane Steeves was between the pipes for both games and played very well.

The series goes to Revelstoke for games 3 and 4 on Feb. 27 and 28.
