Defenceman Todd Bredo has been making his presence known of the blue line for the 100 Mile House Wranglers during the playoffs.

100 Mile House Wranglers coach Dale Hladun put goalie Adam Derochie in net for game 3 of the Okanagan/Shuswap Conference Championship in Summerland on March 18, and it paid dividends.

Hladun was confident Derochie would stand on his head and get the win for the Wranglers – he did and the 100 Mile House boys won 5-4 in overtime.

The bonus was Zane Steeves, who has played the vast majority of games in this amazing playoff run, got the rest he needed.

For the third consecutive tilt with the Steam, the Wranglers gave up the first goal early in the first period. However, the 100 Mile lads came back with three unanswered markers, and went into the third period leading 3-1.

The third period was looking bad for the Wrangler fans, as Summerland notch three consecutive goals to take a 4-3 with less then eight minutes left on the clock.

The bleeding was stopped when Tavis Roch (Cole Zimmerman, Justin Bond) scored at 5:31 on a power play to the knot the score at fours.

Then Wranglers team captain Stephen Egan (Tyler Povelofskie) silenced the Summerland crowd with the game-winning marker at 1:01 of the first overtime.

Game 5 will be played at the South Cariboo Rec. Centre in 100 Mile House on March 21, with the puck dropping at 7 p.m.
