Vote now for your favourite charity

Winner to benefit from big bucks, and so could you

Folks can easily help a local charity this Christmas, simply by shopping in the South Cariboo.

The Spirit of Christmas campaign is an easy way to support a local organization, which, in turn, supports the community, says 100 Mile House Free Press publisher Chris Nickless.

"Once again this year, the Free Press, along with participating businesses, are pleased to help promote the Spirit of Christmas and the charities that benefit from it."

There is a group of 13 participating businesses that folks can visit during their shopping excursions to enter their favourite choice from a list of a dozen local charitable organizations.

The charity with the most votes will win close to $1,000 donation, so vote now and vote often – there is no limit to the number of times you can visit a business to vote from now until Dec. 22.

No purchase is necessary; all you have to do is stop by at any and all of the participating businesses and vote for one of your community's deserving societies.

You'll also be automatically entered to win other valuable prizes from weekly draws for 100 Chamber Bucks, and then the final, grand prize draw of 500 Chamber Bucks.

To participate, watch for Spirit of Christmas entry boxes in local businesses, or better yet, refer to the list of businesses in the advertisement on page A15.

Then, when you head out for your seasonal or household shopping, just visit as many businesses as you can and cast your vote every time.

Your participation in this unique campaign could even be a win-win situation because your favourite charity may win – and so might you.
