Preparations for the South Cariboo Garlic Festival, which will be held at the Felker Homestead, just north of Lac la Hache on Highway 97 on Aug. 23-24.
The Master Garlic Chef Recipe Competition is back and organizers are looking for recipes.
This year will mark the Eighth Annual Cook-Off and the cash prizes are $1,000, $500 and $250 for first-, second- and third-place respectively.
However, the original recipes have to be submitted by July 31.
Three of the recipes will be selected by an independent panel, and the three recipe finalists will be invited to participate in the Cook-Off on Aug. 24 at the Garlic Festival.
