Schools closed in Williams Lake, 150 Mile House

Staff, students told to stay home by superintendent due to police incident

All schools in Williams Lake and 150 Mile House Elementary School were closed on Monday (April 25) more due to a police emergency.

Students and staff at all schools in Williams Lake and the 150 Mile House are being told to stay home.

School District #27 (SD27) superintendent Mark Thiessen noted schools could re-open if the emergency is lifted by police.

He suggested folks go the to the SD27 website (www.sd27.bc.ca) and listen to CBC to hear further updates.

Thiessen says SD27 schools that are not in Williams Lake or 150 Mile House are open today.
