Local students are fundraising and running a charity race for a 100 Mile House student who was diagnosed this summer with a rare form of cancer similar to leukaemia.
The Owen Ross Run is Sept. 29 at Peter Skene Ogden Secondary School (PSO).
Owen Ross, a would-be Grade 8 student at PSO, is undergoing chemotherapy treatment in Vancouver.
There will be a mass start at the high school at 11:30 a.m. and students will proceed to run a course through town.
