Bring your appetites to the 100 Mile Community Hall on Nov. 5 as the 100 Mile Lions Club will be holding its annual Dinner & Auction.
Doors are open at 5:30 p.m., dinner will be at 6:30 and the auction begins at 7 p.m.
“The auction has been going on for over 30 years,” says club president Kim Taylor.
“They used to have a radio auction, but then switched to a dinner auction about 10 years ago. It turned out to save money and it was even more enjoyable.”
The Lions auction is always well attended. This year, dinner will be catered by BJ's Catering and there will be a chicken dish, a couple of pasta dishes and salad.
Auction items are still being determined this year, but in the past, they have included local jewelry, sporting equipment, $300 worth of crushed gravel and massages.
All of the funds will go to local needs and charities, which include donations towards the soccer field, the South Cariboo Health Foundation, Camp Winfield and Easter Seals.
The door prize will be $200 worth of Chamber bucks, to spend around town at all Chamber Buck establishments.
Tickets are $20 and can be purchased in advance at Whimsey Gifts, Lifecycle Financial and from 100 Mile Lions Club members.
