108 Heritage Site is the place to be for the Hysterical Halloween (Oct. 31) because it's going to be a fun-filled evening of frightful family fun from 6 to 9 p.m.
Peter Skene Ogden Secondary School grads are providing their scary energy to provide a Carnival Freak Show experience in the haunted barn. It is a major fundraiser for the prom activities.
Grad student Mikayla Mosher says the haunted barn is going to be really scary, so they are having a
Kids Zone on the stage. It will also have the Carnival Freak Show theme, but it will be more kid friendly, she adds.
Weather permitting there will be a Bouncy Castle and cotton candy will also be available.
Grad committee chair Holly Johnson says they are still working on the activities and treats, but they will definitely be ready for Halloween.
The 108 Mile Lions will be providing a giant bonfire, and there will be a concession.
The 108 Mile Ranch Volunteer Fire Department members will be in charge of setting off the fireworks.
However, 100 Mile & District Historical Society spokesperson Ingrid Meyer says there is a real need for donations to cover the cost of the fireworks.
Letters requesting support for the fireworks have been dropped at area businesses, but anyone who would like to donate can call Holly at 250-791-7308 or Ingrid at 250-791-5663.
