As the weather forecast calls for heavy rain over much of the province this weekend, drivers are urged to be prepared for rapidly changing road conditions.
For your own safety and everyone's on the road, please slow down.
The Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure is encouraging motorists to plan their route ahead, slow down and use extra caution as heavy rain following long periods of dry, hot weather can lead to
slippery conditions.
It's important that motorists reduce speeds when roads are wet, use caution and drive according to conditions, which can change quickly.
DriveBC provides seasonal driving tips and other helpful links for planning a safe trip. Road conditions can also be accessed toll free at 1-800-550-4997, or motorists can check out the latest road conditions

Drivers are reminded to obey all posted speed limits and to be aware of construction zones, emergency vehicles and their personnel.
