Summer watering restrictions are now in effect in the District of 100 Mile House until Sept. 30.
Residences with even-numbered addresses may sprinkle or water lawns and gardens only on even-numbered days of the month, and only during the times of 6-9 a.m. and 6-9 p.m.
Those with odd-numbered addresses may water only on odd-numbered days of the month, and only during the times of 6-9 a.m. and 6-9 p.m.
Premises with no numbered address may water only every second day, and only during the times of 6-9 a.m. and 6-9 p.m.
The penalty for the offence of watering outside of these times is $50, which applies to each and every occurrence (for example, four offences equal $200 in fines).
