Cheer on the Wranglers

Home opener goes Friday (Sept. 19) against Summerland Steam

Fans are in for a real treat at the 100 Mile House Wranglers home opener against the Summerland Steam at the South Cariboo Rec. Centre arena on Friday (Sept. 19).

Save-On-Foods in 100 Mile House is sponsoring the home opener and the fun gets underway early, with a tail-gate party during which the grocery store will be serving hotdogs, hamburgers and drinks with the revenue going to the Wranglers Alumni program.

Former Vancouver Canuck super star Cliff Ronning will be at the tail-gate party, which goes from 5:30 to 6:45 p.m. Folks will want to take advantage of that opportunity.

He will also be dropping the puck at the opening ceremonies.

Furthermore, someone is going to go home from the game $500 richer because Save-On-Foods is hosting a Chuck A Puck contest. Pucks will cost $5 each and the person who gets their puck closest to mark is guaranteed to win $500.

The Wranglers/Steam tilt starts at 7 p.m., and tickets are $10.50 for adults, $8.40 for seniors and students, and children under five are free.
