The 100 Mile House BMO Branch decided to carry out an ongoing book sale to raise money for BC Children’s Hospital and BC Kids Help Line, says bank manager Sandy Craig.
“Our generous staff brought in books of their own to start it off, and our families, friends and customers have been generously donating as well. The great thing is we have had several of books brought in raising a total of $550.50 in just a little over a month.
“However we are running low on books. Our goal is to raise $1,500 or more by the Christmas season.”
Craig is asking for donations of gently used books that can be put on the table for sale by donation. Stop by, donate a book or purchase a book by donation and have a fresh, yummy homemade treat, she adds.
