To the editor:
I am responding to Karlene Wideman's April 13 letter to the editor regarding the expenditure for the exhumation of the Whistler sled dogs.
Ouch, that is harsh.
It has been said a society is judged by its treatment of animals.
If the rest of us did as Ms. Wideman suggests, lead with our hand on our wallet and not on our heart, we would be a sad contribution to humanity.
