And now the Duncan taxpayers are on the hook for another $6,500 to buy carbon credits because our Mayor Michelle Staples and council signed on to a ridiculous net zero program that has devastated our once lovely city.
Nothing is maintained, garbage is everywhere, Canada Avenue is a disaster, logging roads are in better condition than the streets in Duncan, crosswalks are unpainted, weeds are growing out of every nook and cranny and the entire city looks grimy.
This is what happens when you have a bunch of activists posing as a city council. Where do our tax dollars go? The money is certainly not spent on fixing roads or doing city upkeep and now here’s another $6,500 down the drain.
Finance Director Bernice Crossman says it wont take any tax dollars to buy these carbon credits. So where did the $6,500 come from, did it fall out of the sky? No it’s tax dollars! How stupid do you think us taxpayers are?
