Wow, wow, wow, 86 entry addresses are in and residents are already touring the two maps to enjoy the pretty lights. Voting started Dec. 15 and continues until midnight December 24.

Tour sponsors Moving Mountains Site Services ask trippers to return the maps for others to use. They also advise trippers to travel the route in numbered order--the quickest way to cover the whole thing! Tour maps are at all local bulletin boards, or get one via e-mail to mmsiteservices@outlook.com

Don’t forget to vote--comment on Shannon Maria’s relevant Facebook page, or message her. The winner is expected to be announced on Christmas morning and will receive one hour of free snow-ploughing, or one hour of backhoe services in the spring, donated by the company Have fun, and good luck, everyone!

Ladies of the Cariboo Lakes (LCL)

LCL earlier reported to this writer that they were “very grateful for all the donations and are on our way to achieving our goal to support the women of the safe house as well as the unhoused in our community” (i.e., 100 Mile and area) and also for “all the donations of food we were able to pass on to the Interlakes Hall to support their hampers.”

The ladies spent the afternoon of Dec. 10 filling 50, yes, 50 backpacks, and now “thank everyone in our generous community who participated by donating, spreading the word, collecting, delivering and packaging.”

Inerlakes Horse Club (IHC)

IHC had a wonderful AGM/Awards night, on Dec. 14. Special thanks were offered to director Jeneane Evans for “cooking our wonderful dinner,” as well as to the 2024 board, IHC’s generous sponsors, and all the many volunteers. Their tremendous time and effort have made 2024 a highly successful year.

Greetings

Birthday bubbly goes to Piper Loft, Jane Mahovlich, Pat Pasanen, Denise Waldner Kuyek, Gary Biro and Kris Verheul.

I wish all my readers a happy, healthy and safe Christmas, with special blessings on those who have reason to be sad. May New Year 2025 bring some peace to our little planet.
