To the editor:
We would like to give a heartfelt thank-you to everyone for their generous support of the Shirley Case Memorial School Project.
Construction is well underway with completion expected some time in August.
This beautiful, new school is located in Monte Olivo, a remote village in northwestern Nicaragua and will be home to 118 students.
The school will have three classrooms and a library, plus a sports field, thanks to all of the generous donations received from our wonderful community and beyond.
The caring spirit of the community of 100 Mile has been truly overwhelming.
