I want to thank you for your online 100 Mile House Free Press publication of the July 16th Canadian Press article about the mental health impacts of climate-related events across Canada.
Our staff at CMHA South Cariboo Branch in 100 Mile House can attest to those increasing effects on the people we serve in the South Cariboo region. We have initiated a Task Force to study and address this critical issue in our region and have developed a Climate Distress Resource list which is available upon request via our email address below. We welcome hearing from South Cariboo residents about their experience and stand ready to respond with information and support as needed.
