Born in Edmonton, Alberta on April 25, 1931. Died peacefully on Sept. 25, 2011, in 100 Mile Hospital, with his wife Georgina by his side.
Stan had two sons: Ken (Debbie) in Burnaby, B.C. and Paul (Barbara) in 100 Mile House, B.C.; two granddaughters: Tricia and Melinda in Vancouver, B.C. and two grandsons: Troy and Warren in 100 Mile House. Stan also had five stepchildren: John, Marion, George, Mona and Peter, all living in the Vancouver area as well as eight step-grandchildren and three step-great-grandchildren.
Stan taught school in Vancouver for 32 years and one year in Cranbrook, B.C. Stan loved fishing, hunting and camping.
Upon retiring, Stan and his wife moved to Vancouver Island for 13 years. They spent a great deal of time at Green Lake. In 1999, they moved to 100 Mile House.
Many thanks to the nurses and Dr. Lubbe at 100 Mile Hospital who took such good care of Stan.
No funeral by request. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Kidney Foundation.
