In Loving Memory ~
Shirley Jean Stewart (Mitchell) passed peacefully on June 4, 2023, surrounded by her loved ones in the 100 Mile District Hospital.
Shirley is survived by her loving husband Thomas (Butch) Stewart daughter Debra (Gary) Gemmell and son Steven Stewart as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, brothers Ken (Patrica) Gary (Mary) and Brian (Judy) Mitchell.
Predeceased by her son's Wayne Stewart 10/2008 Darrell Stewart 07/2022. Shirley's mother Vera Mitchell was the first person to be laid to rest in 100 Mile House Cemetery in 1967, father Stanley in 1988, and brothers Jim in 2000 and Ron in 2019, and sadly Murray 07/2023.
Shirley moved to 100 Mile House in 1955 and married Butch on September 14, 1956. Shirley worked at Weldwood for 20 years until mill closure then she began her career as a Traffic Controller until her retirement.
Shirley will be greatly missed and forever loved by all those with whom she touched throughout her life.
