Louise was born in Winfield B.C. on December 31, 1926. She passed away on November 17, 2011, at Fischer Place, 100 Mile House, B.C.

She was predeceased by her sister Margaret and brothers Wilfred and Joseph. She is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Art; daughters: Mary (Merv) Zamikousky, 100 Mile; Nancy (Jim) Baker, 100 Mile; and son Ron (Helen) Fort St. John, B.C.; grandchildren: Joe, Herb, Noemi, Jamie, Jenny, Cassie, Daniel and Nicole and 11 great-grandchildren.

As a young child, Louise moved from Winfield with her family to a ranch in Westwold, B.C., where she worked hard but also enjoyed the life the ranch had to offer. She met and married her husband Art in 1950 and then moved to the Cariboo. They lived in Crescent Spur, Riske Creek and then settled at Canim Lake to build their home and raise their family.

Louise enjoyed helping within the community and she belonged to the Forest Grove Legion Ladies’ Auxiliary for many years and made many lifelong friends. She always welcomed friends with a warm hello and a cup of tea.

Louise was a wonderful wife, amazing Mom, and true friend.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Fischer Place, 100 Mile House, in Louise’s memory. A celebration of life will be held in the spring.
